Training chapters include: House-training, Socialization, Habituation, Beginning Command Training, Five Basic Commands , Nine More Commands, Five Boxer Tricks, Aggression, Looking for Trouble, Non-competitive Activities and Competitive Activities. More than 100 full-color photographs detail how each command is taught. The foreword to the book was written by Tracy Hendrickson, owner/trainer of the ABC Performance Dog of the Year/2000, and Norbert Zawatzki, director of training for the Boxer Klub e.v. Sitz Munchen.
I think this is a great source of info for training your boxer. It also deals with breed history and proper care, it’s not all training. If I were to choose just one book to deal with all aspects of the Boxer this would be it. Lots of pictures and lots of info. I also got the German Shepherd training book and was kind of expecting a lot of the information to overlap, but it didn’t. It was written by a Boxer lover, not just some dog lover.
