The Best Yorkie Book
I am a first time yorkie owner so before I picked her up, I read five books on yorkies to better acquaint myself with the breed.
I was considering getting a Yorkie for awhile so I bought this book to better inform myself. It is so full of information and it is written so that anyone can understand it (Dummies!?) It definitley helped me make the decision to get my precious Yorkie. So much of the info in this book was the same stuff that the breeder told me. So many things it tells you to expect are exactly what happened. For example, it tells you what to do before you bring home your puppy. Like getting it a blanket and a cuddle toy. My Yorkie looks for his blanket and his stuffed elephant everytime he is ready to lay down! It continues to be a big help with training. I recommend it for sure!

Basic information
Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies is a very basic book. Most of the information contained in this book can be found on the internet.
This book was a God send. I’d highly suggest buying it and reading it from cover to cover before bringing your little Yorkie home. The book is an easy read and because of the format, you can skip to what’s important to you and read the rest at a later time. We bought our little puppy from the breeder when he was a mere 6 weeks unlike the standard 12 weeks, which I was actually a little nervous about. However, the book was right on the money with instructions on what to expect when picking him up from the breeder to his very first night in his new home. We just recently took the little guy to his first appointment with the vet. That too is covered in the book! The vet was impressed with how much I knew about the breed and puppies in general. I have this book to thank for that. I really would have been lost without it.

great book, esspecially good for information about what breeder to look for. could have some more information such as using baby food for 8-10 week puppies who should eat baby…
This book was helpful because I have always owned large dogs. There are a lot of differences with the size of dog you buy. I liked her housing breaking tricks and have found the book very easy to read.
